  • The Lectures tab in our website provides a recommended sequence of lectures, books and references to learn about Vedanta.

    You may choose a short course of a few lectures, or delve into the depths of Upanishads and Vedantic texts for days and months!

  • Yes, there are classes held on weekdays in-person in the Chapel - The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna on Tuesdays and The Bhagavad Gita on Fridays - at the Society’s premises. Please see the Activities page for more information.

  • We live stream lectures on YouTube every Sunday at 11 AM EST when our center is open. The majority of these lecture are edited and made available on our channel within 1-2 weeks for convenient viewing at your leisure. However, certain lectures, as per Swami Sarvapriyananda's directives, are exclusively accessible through our live-stream broadcasts and are not uploaded afterwards.   • Earlier lectures are available in the Archives under the Lectures tab of our website.

  • Those in regular attendance who follow the teachings and principles of Vedanta, living in the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, are welcome to become members of the Society, subject to approval of the Swami.

  • Swami Sarvapriyananda does not give mantra diksha himself. Please reach out to other Vedanta Societies that are close to where you live, for guidance.

  • As a small center with limited resources and space, we are unable to offer accommodation to devotees.

  • At this time, Swami Sarvapriyananda is unable to grant one-on-one personal interviews due to his busy schedule. It may be best to attend the Sunday service or the Tuesday and Friday classes.

  • We receive a very large volume of questions. We cannot, therefore, guarantee that your particular question will be chosen for a session. It helps if you restrict your question to one only and keep it brief. Please be assured, however, that all questions are read and reviewed for each AskSwami session.

  • Swami Sarvapriyananda encourages every sincere student of Vedanta to find the best ways to practice it by reading, writing, listening or teaching. He, however, does not have the time to review the individual interpretations of devotees.
